Thanks for your visit to the forums & sorry to hear that you're having issues with login into EA Desktop on your laptop.
From your testing, it seems like this is something purely related to your laptop itself, not to the program as it appears to be working just fine on your desktop PC, as you mention. Therefore we have to see if something could be blocking the program on your laptop.
Most of the time logging into EA Desktop can be blocked if you're using a very strict antivirus or have blocked the program via Windows Firewall. Can you please check if this is not the case and make sure that there are exceptions for EA Desktop or turn off your antivirus > test if you can login?
Using a VPN can also sometimes block the program from working properly, so make sure that you are not using a VPN.
What is also possible is that you do not have the rights on your own laptop for the program to run properly. This can have something to do with the UAC (User Account Control) of your account on your laptop:
- Type UAC in the search field on your taskbar. (If the search field isn't visible, right-click the Start button and choose Search.)
- Click Change User Account Control settings in the search results.
- To turn UAC off, drag the slider down to Never notify and click OK.
- You may be prompted to confirm your selection or enter an administrator password.
- Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.
If this does not work, can you please try to create a new Windows Administrator account and try to login into EA Desktop via that account?
