Re: EA Desktop keeps logging out after every session

I am experiencing the same issue; it happens randomly not after every session. Even though I check "Keep me signed in" it still signs me out unfortunately.

I am an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, so I MUST use EA Desktop instead of Origin which was better in every aspect.

EA, please fix this.

It isn't random for me.  Every time I reboot my computer I'm forced to re-enter my login/password, despite the fact I check the "Keep Me Logged In" box.  It doesn't even save my e-mail.  Nothing.

@-bZ-Nyonbjorn Do you log in with your EA credentials or are you also logging in with another, non-EA, account?

Hey here are some solid steps:

  Have a Microsoft account with EA Pass/Xbox Gamepass. Have an EA Play game downloaded through xbox game pass and a shortcut icon on the desktop. Log out of any relevant accounts excluding Xbox.

1. Reboot PC(to clear any running EA processes that are probably running and their data).
2. Attempt to run game downloaded through xbox game pass via icon.
3. select "keep me logged in" EA Login Screen
4. Login via Xbox button
5. Select "Keep me logged in" on microsoft login screen (this may not do anything)
6. Complete Login
7. Reboot PC(to clear any running EA processes and their data).
8. Attempt to run game again

Login screen will happen 100%.

I am logging in with my EA credentials.  I am able to stay logged into Origin, but for whatever reason EA Desktop is just like...nah, I don't remember you.

@-bZ-Nyonbjorn Are you also attempting to log in by starting a game, or do you launch the EA app first?

Could you both also give me the Report ID that you can get via Help > EA Error Reporter?

It happens with Xbox login, not EA login. It should definitely be a known issue

Two players so far mentioned that this happens with the Xbox login, but @-bZ-Nyonbjorn mentioned that they are logging in with their EA credentials, so there might be more to it. 

I'll get the information over to the team and we will do some digging 🙂

@EA_Jason Here's a video I took of the issue. EDIT: double click the empty area on the video to full screen, idk why it appeared so small.

That happens with AHQ when you upload a video @AbeJustAbe, I can still double click it to go full screen. 

As for the login not being automatic with Xbox accounts, I have let the teams know and we'll have a look.

This is very inconvenient and has a high priority.

Something that has just worked for me is right clicking on the EADesktop.exe file, selecting properties, click the compatibility tab, check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator" then hit apply.

Give the PC a reboot to check if it's worked or not.

Might not work for everyone but it seems to have fixed it for me.

Yeah unfortunately did not work for me either. I really hope this gets fixed soon as it feels like "remember me" is the most basic part of the login experience to store some cookie/session info to keep you logged in. I have a complex set of passwords so I hate having to relogin every time I close the app or restart my PC for whatever reason and I should not have to have it running 24/7 just in fear of being logged out repeatedly.

This is with logging in with my EA Credentials as well, nothing Xbox related. 

Is there any news? This issue still happens
