It would be nice if there was some status. Very helpful that there server status is all green: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/are-ea-servers-down/
This issue has been on-going since 2021. I stopped playing ever since as all my friends cannot see each other :D what a waste

Hey everyone,
The problem with the empty Friends List in the EA app should be fixed now. If you're still having trouble, try restarting the EA app or perform an App Recovery.
If the problem is still there after restarting or recovering the app, please share your EA app Error Reporter ID on this thread.If we don't hear anything, we'll assume everything's sorted and will close this thread soon.Thanks.

My friends list is still empty. I can receive friend requests but what I really need are old friends back. This must be resolved somehow. I'm sure EA is keeping some logs and can restore settings/friends or whatever to what it was.
The problem is relevant, when you wrote everything was fine and I could play with my friends, but now I don’t see my friends again
Still unable to see any friends in the EA app. I've attached screenshot of the EA app and my Xbox app to show I do have missing friends.

Thank you. It is not resolved it is an issue I have been fighting the past 2 days. I've done everything in everything thread but it is not working again. The reason we bought this game is to play with friends. Fix it or refund everyone. I've had my account since 2011 and have been playing battlefield since 2009, I'm extremely disappointed with how you all are giving us the run around.
Uninstalling the game and reinstalling it on my end worked.
Fighting this, no friends showing in EA App, Neither on Windows or Linux using Bottles/Wine etc.
Have completely removed the EA App in Windows even went so far to use Revo uninstaller to get all the bits.
I would think some kind of network issue.
