I had to activate your cursed APP and now BF1 Revolution DOESN'T start anymore.
The window that the game could not connect to the APP appears from the desktop.
From the APP comes the window complaining that "an error on our part caused your launch to fail".
And now how do I play BF1 ?
😮

Same here, started yesterday and have tried the prior steps when even disconnecting from Internet for the install, didnt work. How does this get done without testing?

@MockpoAfter EA gave me a supposed solution (essentially reinstall all the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries), I STILL CANNOT INSTALL THE EA App!!
This is INCOMPETENCY ON THE PART OF EA!
GIVE US ACCESS TO THE ORIGINS LAUNCHER WHICH WORKED BEFORE FORCING US TO USE YOUR PATHETIC, BROKEN EA App!Their solution was pointing to this page: https://help.ea.com/en-tr/help/pc/troubleshoot-vc-dll-errors/
What they don't seem to understand is that the MSVC DLL series with the 130 designations DON'T EXIST ANY MORE. If they've programmed their stupid EA App with the need for the 130.dll series, then they've really messed up.

You know what REALLY weird me out about all these launcher issues?
Considering how common it is for users to be locked out of their purchases... This HAS to be costing them a metric ton of sales (and thus, money).
You'd think this would be a Priority 1 thing that they'd have fixed by now. But alas, I see the issues go all the way back to at least January. ;>_> Apparently EA is fine with losing money.
I'm also shocked at how, despite this issue seeming to be really common, I haven't heard about it until I installed Mass Effect LE the other day and got nonstop "Temporary connection issue" errors that refuse to go away (I've already spent hours debugging, reinstalling, repairing, making exceptions in my firewall, etc).

Thanks for the link SwissArmy but that, like for you didnt work either. This is really obnoxious, the inability to play a game I paid for.

I cant believe it...i uninstalled EA app and game, re downloaded it and its working (for now). So glad i've not invested in the other BF games.

The obvious solution EA wants you to try is to re-buy all of your games or their remakes for the EA App. That's why they don't fix anything.

@umeng2002I...Don't see how that makes sense, since a lot of people can't even get INTO the app?
Like, literally, a bunch of us can't even get into it without an install error or a never-ending "Temporarily disconnected" error, let alone buy anything off of it. They're almost certainly losing money over this, which makes it really weird that they haven't either fixed it or rolled back to the previous app already.

This is really strange... since this damn APP doesn't work, why not restore the "good old" ORIGIN that worked fine and let users play in peace until this damn APP won't be able to work for everyone always ?!?
They look like a bunch of arrogant and touchy teenagers that their product doesn't work and, instead of apologizing to users and trying to get them to use the products they regularly buy, they create harassment and problems for them (by blocking Origin) to force their product that they don't want to admit that doesn't work!
The leaders of EA should RESIGN!
Are the company's shareholders aware of this situation? That say ? They are happy ? When will the stock market crash?😮
- HiddenTidess3 years agoNot applicable@Otto_v_Krapfen Easy, it's cheaper for them. They are trying to kill off the origin servers completely instead of ya know, fixing the problems, they just want us to suffer. Simple as that.
