Re: How to fix EA app Error 500?

Hi everyone,

It seems that there is a temporary problem with the EA app, which is currently also showing Error 500 messages to players. This problem is discussed here: Error 500 - "Something went wrong..." - 10 Mar. '23.

If you are also experiencing this Error 500 message today and you were not affected by it before, it is probably related to the problem that the teams are currently investigating and not to this thread.

    Is this degradation still ongoing? Was excited to try launching BF2042 after reports of the issue with launching from Steam may have been resolved. However, still running in to the same issue with launching BF2042. If I click on the game tile inside EA App, a 500 error appears

    @daxeqtr Open Task Manager and scroll down to the EA Background Service. End that task! Worked for me!!

    I'm quite fed up with this EA application. I was forced this week by EA to install it instead of ORIGIN. And since I CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE WITH THIS ERROR 500 MESSAGE APPEARING. And I see this problem it's quite old and comes back very often. IF EA RESPECTS HIS CLIENTS AND PLAYERS REMOVE THIS USELESS APPLICATION and let people go back to ORIGIN!
