@CallMeVRightNow, cheers for the screenshots! So looking at the screenshot of the EA app methods, it correctly shows the iDEAL payment method, right? And I assume that you're physically located in the Netherlands or Belgium as well, plus that your EA app store region is set to the Netherlands?
So this means that the EA app shows it correctly for you, right? But only the https://ea.com or https://ea.com/nl-nl website (or rather the website where you're being redirected to when checking The Sims 4 for example) for you is missing the iDEAL payment method?
Yes, I'm physically located in the Netherlands, and my app region is also set to the Netherlands.
Around the time when the Ideal payment method stopped appearing on the EA website, I noticed a change in the appearance of the Ideal payment option in the EA app. Previously, it didn't ask for my international bank account number and owner's name. I could just select Ideal as the payment option and press continue.
Unfortunately trying to use ideal as a payment option on the EA app now causes this error message to appear:
"We're unable to process your order at this time due to an issue with your provided payment method. Please use a different payment method to complete your order, or try again later."
The EA website does not display Ideal as a payment option, while the EA app does show Ideal as a payment option, albeit in a different way than previously.
- @EA_Leeuw I have exactly the same problem. If I fill in the details of my IBAN and name and then click on ''pay now'' the pop-up shows up for me too. I hope this can be fixed soon, especially with the sale going on right now. I also have every setting correct.
The payment methods in the EA app have changed. I checked today, and it no longer shows iDeal as an available option.
