If I had to take an educated guess at what this process is for, I would say this. It appears to be a component of the new EA Desktop app, that is simulating/impostoring the old Origin client for games that rely on doing license checks through Origin. This explains the name impostor.

I understand the concern about malware but most malware wouldn't make it obvious and call itself virus.exe unless the developers really weren't trying.

In this case, the EA app should hide the terminal window that pops up from the user and just have it run as a background process/service, but since the EA app is still in beta I'm sure this will be ironed out.
