• An EA app Error Report ID
  • Please share this Error ID with us here in the thread.

When sharing this Error ID, please also mention the following:

• Do you maybe know if you have installed the game(s) that is giving this error on a separate hard drive, like a D drive for example?
  • Would it be possible to check the remaining space on all of the hard drives attached to the computer?

New BF 2042 Update cant grind the new skin because It needs to update n I have over 100 gb free on all drives... and it wont update to the drive its currently installed on n it has over 500 gb free on it.. half a tb... This really needs to be fixed I have this issue everytime the game updates like cmon... there no error message that comes up just says I need an update n dont have enough disk space which isnt true Ive posted in atleast 2-3 other forums about this when is it going to get fixed???

Same issue with the new jedi survivor update, let alone the game runs at 30fps but now an update has come out i need an extra 130GB space free on my disc drive for an update that is 5GB max i assume. 

I've had this issue for ages with apex legends and thats why i switched to steam to download the game as i dont need the game size in free disc space just for a 500mb update. 

This issue has been around for ages and been talked about on many different forums, when is it going to get fixed or is there a known solution yet?

To fix this problem i have to unisntall and then re-install the game and its so stupid.

yeah im having the same issue, redownloading jedi survivor now but still saying low disk space... hopefully it still works or ill have to switch to steam

I am having the same issues described in this thread. I only have one drive installed so there is no separate drive involved. The only work around is uninstalling a game completely and reinstalling it.

I'm having the same issue as everyone else. I need to update The Sims 4 but then the "low on disk space" pops up and it stops updating. This has happened before and EA resolved it but not this time. I have basically deleted all files I don't need nor use, cleared the cache, restarted my computer, and gane and still it says the same thing. "Low on disk space". Please resolve this bug, or whatever it is because this is very stressful, especially when I have invested so much money into The Sims 4.

Disk Space: 30GB

I need 21GB to update my Sims 4 game and it says I have low disk space.

Im having a similar issue to this and the Error Report ID is

I have the sims 4 installed on a different drive than the ea app with >200+ GB of space free.
my C:// drive is a bit cramped but i'll clear well over 2 Gb each time it happens, and the issue remains.
do I need to install the EA app on a different drive with more space??? 

This is not a solution. It just links to a request for an error ID that’s marked as a “solution”. Are there any real suggestions posted as to what to do about this? Error Code EC:10602 on the Steamdeck for BF1 immediately after download. 

Trying to install Battlefield 1 (around 80GB) on D drive where I have other EA games installed. Over 707GB free on D drive however I'm receiving the 'low disk space' message and wont download. See screenshot here: https://ibb.co/6H7pXKY Please advise.

So, I just had this issue and I solved it for myself, I'm not sure if it will be the same for everyone but here goes:

My issue was, the EA App seems to look at the drive it's installed in, regardless of where the game is installed.  I was trying to play Mass Effect 3 (Still am, encountering a separate issue now where it won't recognize my game key...) and it kept telling me I didn't have enough disk space.  I cleared out 180 GB on the drive that Mass Effect 3 was installed on but still got the error no matter what I did.  Finally, I ended up uninstalling the EA App.  It was originally installed on my C drive, which is basically full, so when I reinstalled it, I moved it to the drive Mass Effect was installed on, which had the free 180 GB and the issue went away.

So, TL;DR: Make sure the EA App is installed on a drive that does have plenty of free space.  If it's on a drive that's full, but the game is one a drive with free space, don't trust that it's looking at the correct drive.  Just re-install it on a drive with plenty of free space and it should solve your issue.


Now if anyone knows how to fix this error...

I have at least 300 GB of free space on all 4 of my drives. I tried installing it on all 4 of my drives and I got the error regardless of which drive.

Hey all, idk if this will work for you but it worked for me. 

Uninstall the app and when you go to reinstall don't click let's go there's a button at the bottom of the window that says customize or something in that regard, click on that and change the install location to whatever you have that has more space, I did that, and it worked for me doesn't hurt to give it a try right?

Are you trying to download it or update it. Because I want to download the sims 4 but when I download the EA app, there won't be enough space to get the sims. I have 27GB space.
