Account ist administrator account and i allow it. Password is correct.
Hello, i tried something out today, maybe this would be a hint? I opened "EADesktop" in the MacOS Folder of the EA App. As it started I got forced to enter my admin password and the same error shows, as when I try to run the App itself. I'm really not a technical pro, but maybe someone can do something with this information?
On my Macbook, where the App still works, the Login Window Opens and the terminal shows this.

Hopefully this may help 🙂
Where is the game installed on your iMac? That's the only bit missing from your screenshot. The file path is clearly shown in the MacBook screenshot. Could you look in Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Electronic Arts > EA App and open the background agent.ini file in Text Edit and copy/paste the contents here?

There are two items. A folder called (ARD) containing 'GEADesktop". A file in Electronic arts called 'Machine.ini". I've attached the text file.
Sorry, one more thing to try - could you go into Macintosh HD > Users. Do you have a root folder in there? If so, in there does it look something like this?
Edit 21.05.24 - Trash the Library folder in the screenshot (I trashed root but others may not be so keen).
The last Folder was empty. No .plist files at all. Trashed the whole root folder but still the same issue.
@BluebellfloraYes there is no background agent file in it.
Edit: Checked it on the MacBook, no roots Folder at all and the background agent file is there.
@BluebellfloraThe game is installed under Macintosh HD > Applications (That's what I find in the infos)

Which folder are you referring to when you say "the last folder was empty"?
Right click on the EA App > Show Package Contents > Contents > Applications. Could you post a screenshot of the contents of that folder? Sorry, I meant the "installer data" folder. This was completely empty, where you seem to have two .plist files.

Thanks. Can you double click on the EABackgroundAgent app to open it and then open Activity Monitor to check it's running. The EABackgroundService process should automatically run too. If they are then try to open EA App. - @Bluebellflora Background Agent runs for a short time, but Background Service isn't automatically. After a short time, background agent stops running.

Ok. Double click on EABackgroundService too as well as the EABackgroundAgent. When they are running try to launch the EA App. - @Bluebellflora The app then says, that the background services crashed (EC:104)
Thanks for trying. Maybe it's something to do with the EABackgroundAgent. The contents of Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Electronic Arts > EA App > background agent.ini on my Mac (I've replaced the numbers with X's):
BackgroundAgentPort=XXXXX BackgroundAgentPid=XXXXX
I think this is your issue as the App isn't creating the file. Pid is the process ID in Activity Monitor. I don't believe these numbers change although they are unique to the machine.

It's late for me now but if you come across anything else please let us know 🙂 You could try setting up a new user account on your Mac and launching EA App in that account. @BluebellfloraChecked again, now I have the background agent.ini file. The content is the same as yours.
I will try tomorrow if another account could run the app. Thank you for your help! 🙂
Same issue with other user account. ☹️
Hey, wanted to share that I'm facing the same problem.
I've also been having the same problem for a month now and I still can't find the solution. I have a Macbook Pro Retina 13-inch, early 2015. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, help I want to play the Sims!
I had to physically go into the settings and grant full access even though I entered my password like the pop said to do. Only then did it start
