Did as instructed with clearing the cache and I still get this message every time I click my desktop sims 4 to open. I don't have an option in my EA app to select ANY of my games.. So what else can solve this problem?
This is the error I get as well.
I went into my apps and am trying to repair the app. I'm thinking there is a known issue they are not being transparent about so I guess we're SOL.
Still, if I pay for* a game, I should not HAVE to use their server to play it; I should have the option to play it offline and I hate that we don't. They need to get their stuff together....
EDIT: It would not allow me to repair. Just said "Error" and showed a continue button ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So I guess go into your app and make a report, then we can ask for updated using the report ID that is issued :P

Hi @lmaharj8 & @cutemuffin,
Please try the following steps as well:
- Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
- Run the EA App as an administrator
- Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
If this doesn't help, let me know if you're seeing any different errors, like Error 500 when trying to load into the app.
I gave up trying to troubleshoot and uninstalled the sims 4 and then I uninstalled the EA app through my control panel. When I reinstalled the EA app, the option appeared to download the sims and my add-ons, which I'm currently waiting to complete. It's the most progress I've seen in 4 days; so I'm hopeful. Thank you for the swift response.
