So EA Play is supposed to be free on PC for Xbox Game Pass members TODAY. I've watched the videos showing how you can see the games within the Xbox App for PC and nope. There's no EA Play bar that shows games, nor can I search them. C'mon guys! Any luck for anyone else?
I am pretty sure that the announcement said that it would become enabled at 5pm. Still have to wait a little bit longer.

Yep, I see it too. After 3 months of waiting we finally have it, lol.
Are you able to download games? My EADesktop freezes and gets stuck in the "Preparing...Calculating time..." status when it starts to download a game.
I have tried a few different games and also tried turning off my VPN. Nothing seems to actually let a game get downloaded.
Working fine for me. 3 hours left for Fifa 20 to download :D

I do not see any EA Game on my PC, only on my Xbox. I'm using the Ultimate Game Pass.
It only works if you make a new account linking initiated by installing an EA game from the xbox app. The EA desktop app then shows a membership of "EA play with game pass".
I had to unlink previous linked EA and xbox accounts from the EA website and go through the linking steps.
Its months late so it ought to have coped with an existing account linking.

My existing link was working fine.
Great if its working for you but for those still with probs then unless your membership shows "EA play with Game pass" in the EA Desktop app then its likely you'll get stuck at "preparing" stage when trying to install a game from the xbox app.
They've had long enough to debug migrating existing account linkings but for those of us that it didnt work properly its easy enough to unlink accounts from the ea website and go through the linking process thats triggered when installing a EA game from the xbox app
