When I try to run The Sims 4 game, I keep getting this message. "The app couldn't read the game's license file, so If the problem continues, try clearing your cache."
I have been having this problem since the last EA App update. I can run other games with the app. It seems only The Sims 4 is affected.
I have cleared the cache several times as suggested. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, as well as launching the EAUpdater.exe. I did the repair game option a couple of times. I have disabled my anti-virus and VPN. I have tried to find any solutions on the forum, but I have only seen other players posting about having the same problem, but not getting any answers or help.
I have been playing The Sims since The Sims 1 was released. I was even a beta tester of Sims Online. I have spent so much time and money on this game and I feel like I'm just being left out in the cold. EA just wants my money, but can't be bothered to help when they break the game.
I have the exact same problem.. game license invalid… tried everything. It started many many months (maybe almost a year) ago and still no solution….. I’ve been playing the sims 2,3 and 4 and bought all the packs right when they came out. Never benefited from any sale. I was a loyal and happy customer & miss playing it but i’m starting to give up now.
Since 2014 I’ve been buying sims packs from my own savings. I was 12 years old back then… Packs for 40+ euros… If EA doesnt come up with a solution i’m starting to think they wanna steal from a 12 year old….
EA please let me know what i can do to fix this…..
I have been playing the sims since the first sims game 25 years ago. I even was a play tester for the Sims Online. I haven't been able to play the game for almost a year now.
At this point if this community member doesn't want to help just pass us on to someone else who will. I'd rather have someone who's gonna care instead of messaging this chat once every month
