Hello all,
I am beyond flustered over here.
When I ty to open The Sims 4, I am getting the game license not valid error message.
I have NO mods/NO CC.
Steps I have taken (in no particular order):
cleared cache, moved the license file to the desktop, updated the EA app, repaired the game. Uninstalled the game and the app. turned off firewall/antivirus, "clean boot" my pc,.
In addition, I also completely restored my pc to factory. Reinstalled app and game.
I also logged into EA app on husband's pc and installed game with same error.
The only thing that I have done that opened the game is to install in from Steam. the game will load, but only the base game. I have every single DLC for this game (except the newest expansion), so this is NOT a viable option.
I have reached out to EA help via chat 2x's now with no resolution. They have marked the case status as "No Fix available".
Has ANYONE been able to resolve this issue? I am willing to try just about anything at this point.

I know, right?
I reached back out to tech chat support. It was just more of the same run around. It's like they don't really read my words. I explained the situation to them and all I got was "clear your cache" "repair the game" etc.
It is so frustrating.

Hi just a question in which operating system are you running sims 4 and what is the system in your husbands PC? I have the same issue and I am in windows 8, someone suggested to move to a PC with windows 10 at a minimum
