Since July 30th, I continue to receive the error that my game license is invalid. I've tried:
- Remove the license files from the %programdata%
- Uninstalling both Sims 4 and EA App
- Countless repairs
- Re-imaging the PC with a fresh install
- Ensured all Drivers/Graphics were up to date
- Removed my Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims4 file
- A completely different computer
- The base game without all the add-ons (I have all of them, and about 5k hours)
- Removing all connected accounts
- I do not use mods or custom content and never have
Is there anything that I can do to remedy this error? I tried the EA chat.... and that was.... not fruitful in the least. I'd be really appreciative if anyone has the fix to this issue. Thanks.
This seems to be a major problem, there are posts from years ago with this problem, unanswered, unassisted. There needs to be a MAJOR lawsuit brought against EA games.

I was ultimately able to get through everything. Albeit it was not without issue. I play every game on the EA application. After I uninstalled the EA Launcher, and The Sims 4 (the game I was having a problem with), I was able to redownload the game via Steam (as opposed from downloading directly via the EA app) which prompted the EA launcher install. After I did this, the license was finally restored. My guess is that the EA Launcher is not auto-updating as it should. If you run the manual EAUpdate.exe (paraphrasing from memory here). It was a different version that the direct install from the website. In any case, good luck out there.
