I am going to try and write this for the 10th time.
I have been trying to access my sims 4 and 3 for the longest time. EA are not helping really and keep pushing me off with no answer or solutions and told me to come on here and post about it instead.
for the past year I have not been able to open the sims 4 or 3 and receive a game licence invalid error.
I have tried everything suggested online in forums through AI bots and general problem solving on my laptop. Below are the things I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the sims 4 and 3
uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app
factory resetting my laptop as I know it’s an older model with windows 8
repairing the sims 4 through the EA app
clearing the cache
changing compatibility modes and running as administrator
installing Microsoft visuals as per EAs suggestion
tried linking steam to my account only to find steam no longer supports windows 8.
I am beyond frustrated and want a solution to this as both the sims 4 and EA claim compatibility with windows 8 so I should not have an issue.
the most concerning this is when directed to look for the licence file on my laptop this file does not exist and did not get installed when installing the sims 4. This is very confusing as to why it did not install as it should.
