robynamos I didn't realize you were getting the "game failed to launch" error, which is not the only thing that happens when the game won't open. There's a very long master thread here if you want to add your info to help anyone investigating:

Aside from that, I don't know what you can do. It might be helpful to test the game using your account but another computer, and your computer but another account, to establish whether this error is account-related in your case. Since the base game is free, you could have a friend or family member add it to their account and use that on your computer.
I can confirm that it's not an account issue on my end. My account loaded perfectly on my sister's computer. Will wiping out all the files (Save data excluded) and reinstalling from scratch fix this problem on my computer?
