Hey, tried the latest update today:
removed the game
installed the basic game from scratch through EA Mac App
run the basic game
it worked in chosen language!
after this I installed a few addons one by one with opened basic game. each time the game showed a pop-up message that the addon is downloaded and you should exit and re-start the game.
every time it finally worked with the right language!
even after installation of multiple addons in background.
Hopefully the devs fixed the issue for most cases, you should try too! Good luck!
