Sims 4 saying not compatible with mac

Question

Hello I posted something yesterday about this perpetual loop between origin and ea when downloading sims. I was told to download the ea app because it is compatible with mac so I did. now when I open the app it says Steam and available on windows pictured below. I have spent over 2 hours trying to figure this out. I just wanna play sims, please help. Thank you

There is no version of the Sims 4 available for Mac on Steam. You need to either unlink your Steam account from your EA account or, and this is the simplest, create a new EA account and download the base game onto your Mac for free. Same goes for any DLC you own in Steam, it won't be available to you in macOS.
