Star Wars Battlefront 2 Bugs with EA app

My friend and I are trying to play with each other however there is a bug in that doesn't allow us to accept each others Invite while in game and the APP closes whenever the games open. Is there support for this.  

 

Does in game overlay NEED to be on?
