TS4 PC Error 'DisplayName Field Missing From Registry' Since May 28th Patch

Since the update this box keeps popping up whenever I log into my game. It has never happened before the update today. I have gone through my EA account and all required fields are completed.

Hi everyone,

It seems that some of you are encountering this error because your antivirus, antimalware, or firewall is not allowing the EA app for PC or The Sims 4 for PC to function correctly.

Please try manually allowing or making an exception for the EA app for PC and The Sims 4 for PC in your security software, and see if this resolves the issue. We've received several reports indicating that Comodo Internet Security might be one of the programs blocking the game and the app from working as intended.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please generate an EA app Error Reporter ID and share it in this thread as asked by @EA_Solaire here, so we can investigate further.

Sorry for the god-awful formatting, I had to remove everything (%, &, ",", ':", "_") to get rid of the "h1 (data-testid)" error for posting.

Hi,
I have been unable to launch the game for a couple days. Every attempt fails with the standard error: "Failed to Launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail".
I've gone through all standard troubleshooting:
reinstalled both The Sims 4 and EA App (with cache/data cleared)
reset the Sims 4 user folder
removed all CC/mods
restarted my PC
updated Windows and GPU drivers
disabled oerlays/firewall
tried direct launch via .exe file as admin
tested offline mode and advanced launch options
moved/relinked the install folder
went as far as manually edition registry entries (Displayname, Install Dir, GUID)
Despite all of this, the EA Apps log always shows:
"title=DisplayName feild missing from registry"
I confirmed Sims 4 entitlement IDS are missing from the registry. This points to an entitlement sync failure on EA's side, not a local PC issue.
Support chat has incorrectly marked my case as fixed and is brushing it under the rug. I still can't access my game, so it can't be fixed, can it?
I was hoping someone here could help.

I keep trying to play my sims4 and I keep getting the above message. I go to log in like it wants me to and it keeps coming up.

I am getting the error “DisplayName field not found in registry” when I try to boot my game. If I input my account info into the boxes, the game just boots me back to the EA app and doesn’t launch. If I re-open the app, the same popup appears.
I have tried countless online forum solutions and none of them are working. I’m starting to wonder if it may be an issue with my account rather than the game itself. Attached is the error I am getting.
I have tried many solutions, including clearing cache, reinstalling my game, reinstalling the EA app and steam, repairing my game, taking out my mods, clearing my license folder in Program Data, letting Sims through my firewall and antivirus, and uninstalling EA App with revo uninstaller. None of these things have worked.

I wonder if anyone else has been having this issue and might be able to give any more suggestions on what to do.
