Unable to unlink my X-box account

Hi, 

I am trying to unlink the current X-box account that I have linked to my EA account, I am trying to do this as I mistakenly linked the wrong email account & this prevents me from playing any EA games on my Gamepass. Unfortunately I tried a couple of times with the wrong email & now its telling me I cant unlink again until the end of August.
I have tried the EA live support & was told the below by the advisor:
"I have just check with the team and got to know that according to the new updates we are not able to unlink the platform from our end so unfortunately the option is to wait till the august for the unlinking"

Yet I see posts on the forums suggesting contacting them for an early unlock!!

Please help
