Update stuck on 99%

I just tried to update my game after like a year of not playing, it took like 6-7 hours to get to this point and it's just been stuck on 99% for the past maybe 2-3 hours now. I haven't tried anything yet to help it because i'm afraid it'll have to restart the update but if I need to do that I suppose I will. The last time I played was March 2024 but I opened it earlier today with no internet and played for about 30 minutes it was working fine. I'm not sure what to do plz helppppp. It won't even let me pause or cancel the update if I wanted to I don't think. the buttons aren't pressable.
