just purchased the xbox pc gaming pass to use it for the ea play part and whenever i try to install a game through the xbox app it redirects me to the ea app where it does not recognize my game pass. it says my accounts are correctly connected as well. any fixes or answers as to why it's doing it?

what kind of Xbox membership did you get exactly? I could find that not all of them include EA Play. Please confirm if that's the case by reading this guide.
If you did purchase an Xbox membership that includes EA Play and this situation persists today, please follow this guide to clear the cached data.
Then, log in to the EA app again using the Gamertag option to ensure the EA account you're logging in with is the linked one.
