EA turned my account Dormant and will not give me access
Hi!
So I'm just going to get to point of it. My EA account, username was Sayonsyomi, was apparently turned dormant because I hadn't used it in a while. This had been done without my knowledge or permission, which is very frustrating. So, low and behold. I go to log into my account but I am unable to. Normally this would be solvable by resetting my password with the email address associated with my account, however my email address had been hacked after a massive information breach that happened a year ago. This email was a very old Hotmail account (as we know Hotmail is now outlook) Anyways the email account was deleted. So I don't have access to it and physically can't gain access as it no longer exists. I spoke to a live agent (which i'm pretty sure aren't even real people) they essentially said I'm out of luck unless I can gain access which we all know isn't possible. I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to help me here. I'm a long time EA fan, I've been playing the sims since the first sims, so one could imagine how much money I've spent over the years. This is all feeling very much like theft from EA at this point. They aren't even willing to try and verify my account through other means. I can't even speak to a real person as there is no way of actually contacting EA.
Has this happened to anyone else? Should I get lawyers involved? Press? Like how much of a stink do I need to make to get real help? Because, apparently asking nicely doesn't work these days.
