I think the migration was a poor idea. The people that decided this must have known that this new site is structured in a completely different way, but still they gave the impression that everything will be fine. Very poor expectation management...
And now there's a flood of basically broken discussions (can't really call them threads anymore) with missing images and even if people are so dedicated that they try to update each and every post they run into editing errors.
More honesty and a clean slate would probably have been better.
