Mods didn't show up in game... now game wont open

I haven't consistently played this game since 2023 and it was on Origin. Since deciding to play again, the last two weeks I have been having issue after issue.  For most of this time I wasn't able to get the game to open--until last night! It finally opened and I was able to run a game and save it**. I played for about 40 minutes, saved the game, came back an hour later, saved the game again. I then decided I wanted to finally add my mods and cc. I downloaded some CC, some body sliders, MCcommand center and BasementalsD__s. When I opened my game, I made sure mods were enabled. Game opens and my mods are not there. 

I looked up on the forum to see  how to fix it. Everything said make sure your mods are in the same folder where your game runs. They were. Let me pause and go back a little. Earlier I said I had not been able to load the game. What finally let me was having the game run out of Macintosh HD/Applications/EA Games/The Sims 4

In the forums, I also noticed  everything said to have the mods in your electronic arts folder (which previously in 2023 I did). I moved everything ( the sims4 folder and the sims packs folder) to Documents/Electronic arts folder. When I tried to run the game I got this error code. 

I moved everything back to the folders that I had it in last night and I still got that error message.

I tried repairing the game and STILL I keep getting the error message. 

I'm not touching it again until I can get help because the more I try things, the worse I think I make it.

** Even though the game ran, the IMAGES of some clothing items in CAS are showing as red, white, and black question marks. It was doing that last week but as of last night I was able to wear the clothes in game. So what Im saying is its only the images of the clothes that are messed up.
