Opinion on New Forums
It may just be unpopular opinion, but I find these new forums to be painstakingly difficult to read ,(text is tiny, and colors are blinding), follow thread, my hand hurts from scrolling through hun...

I agree.
The thing what frustrates me most is that this new forum looks like being intentionally designed the way it is now. I think I understand why these forums are set up this way. I am sure that there was a request for proposal and a requirement specification. It's not that someone has forgotten to set an option or to activate a feature like custom avatars. I'm afraid this is exactly the result of what was planned from the beginning.
We're talking about budget and margin and if you setup such a project there is no place for "try and error". These forums are designed to host multiple games and you need a smallest common denominator which fits all demands. In 2009 we had a forum only for The Sims 3, in 2014 one for all Sim games and now we have a forum for all EA games (or at least a selection, probably there will be more). With every iteration, you lose a piece of individuality.
The intentional design aspect is that they wanted to mimic the most popular "forum" currently arround: Reddit. Which also does not have pages or any of the other things we (and the other older forum users) remember from proper forums. Reddit is fine for what it is, but it's not suited for what a forum entails when it has to do things that teh sims community does
