Post Not Appearing
I posted a few hours ago, but I don't see that post listed in my profile.
I'm wondering if maybe (due to its length) it got stuck in an approval process, but there's nothing to indicate that.

There's an indeed a queue that sometimes catches legitimate posts on accident, especially with external links (like in yours).
It's getting better and happens less frequently, apologies that you ended up there.
