Questions About Too Many Posts

I keep getting the messages "Content Not Published" and "You’ve exceeded the maximum number of posts you can publish. Try again later." when I try to publish a post.

1. What exactly is the definition of a maximum number of posts?
2. Are there so many posts in an hour, a day, a week?
3. How long must I wait from my first failed attempt to try again?
4. Can I reach a member level that allows me to make more posts than I have currently exceeded?
5. Can I even post in the Technical Discussion if I have been shackled in the other areas of The Sims 3 forum? Yes.
6. When can I expect to be able to post again?

I would appreciate some clarification on the rules for this restriction.

To my knowledge, that is only 8 posts within three hours. I don't find that to be excessive.

However, I did do many minor edits of existing posts under both Marden and Forsythe posts. Is this a factor?
