Community AdminWe are working on the sign out errors and the performance and stability issues you and others have reported.
Displaying your game name isn't planned, but you could work around it by updating your EA name to match your in-game user name (if you are open to that).
For now we are looking to offer more avatars to choose from. We are also evaluating whether we can offer custom ones at some point in the future - maybe tied to a certain rank?
The whole display name issue has a few unforutnate connotations for us who tend to seperate what we use online to game with others from what we generally use for our online pseudonyms.
It's a bit of a pen name issue. Not having others potentially know who we are, without going back and scorching Earth on our Origin friendslist then name changing is really a problem. I can imagine trans people from the old Sims forum to EA Forums might be in that boat.

Thanks for the additional context. While we cannot adjust the decision regarding user name display I do want to stress that EA is an ally and has zero tolerance for hateful content. This of course includes these forums, but also interactions in any of our games and apps.
Any instance of violation, please report them.
