Please note that game progress is stored at the EA account level, so as part of the risks of unlinking, you'll lose access to that progress. 

With that in mind, to unlink the Steam account from the foreign EA account, you'll need to contact live support for help. You can do so by using the Contact Us button at the bottom of the linked page. They'll be able to unlink the Steam account from that foreign EA account to your EA account.
