Can’t link Xbox Account to EA Account

Hi all,

This question may sound like a broken record to regular users of these forums. However after searching other posts I can’t find an answer to solve my own issue. 

I recently bought an Xbox Series X and have tried linking the account to my EA account so I can play FC25. However, I apparently already had an account linked which I don’t even recognise. I unlinked the account and quickly found out that you can only have one Xbox account linked for the lifetime of the EA account. Is there anyway to bypass this silly rule? Thanks!
