Cannot recover old EA account to unlink Steam. Need deletion

Hello everyone,

I am facing a really frustrating issue with my EA account link and I would be extremely grateful for any help from the community or the EA Community Team.

My Steam account is linked to an old EA account that I currently cannot access. I have tried contacting EA Live Support multiple times today. I provided everything I could find – Steam purchase receipts, transaction IDs, IP addresses, billing info, and my phone number. Unfortunately, the agents kept telling me the information was invalid, or the system would just fail. Now, the support page is even telling me "This issue isn't supported by advisors" when I try to open a new ticket.

I don't care about the progress or games on that old EA account at all. I just want to start fresh. Since standard recovery is stuck in a loop, is there any way for EA to completely DELETE or DEACTIVATE this old account based on data privacy, so my Steam account finally gets unlinked?

Has anyone else resolved this through the forums, or could a Community Manager please guide me on how to request a full account deletion when the live chat isn't working?

    If you're looking to have an account deleted, including through data privacy requests, you'll need to go through these steps. It sounds like you've already gone through that process with support on a few occasions now, but this is something that needs their involvement to verify additional account details. 

    I'm afraid there is not a separate process to have accounts deleted, so if you weren't able to verify enough information through support, you'd need to try resuming a case or creating a new one above to speak with them again. As account details do need to be verified, that's not something we can facilitate on the public boards unfortunately, sorry.
