Can't change EA ID

Just recovered this account, for bf6 specially. So, the issue is in the topic title. 
No matter what nickname I'm using to change the current one, an error pops up. It's either "already in use", or "enter a valid EA ID". What do I do? How do I change my EA ID? Attachments added.
