Cant unlink steam

are you trying to unlink the Steam account in order to link it to a new EA account or because you want to link a different Steam account to the EA account?

Due to the rule that only one platform account of a kind can be linked to an EA account in its lifetime, the link, while technically removed, might still be shown on the EA account. If you want to link the Steam account to a different EA account, you can try doing that to see if the unlinking progress has worked. 

I want to link my steam account to a new a different ea account. I tried to link this different ea account to my steam account but it still says that its linked to the other original one

Can you make sure that you're following the steps as given in this article?

Can you try accessing the customer portal on another device/browser?

I can, i tried unlinking from my phone and its still not working :/

If you continue having issues with trying to unlink, I'd recommend contact Support, so they can take a look and maybe unlink the account manually from their side.
