Connecting Account

Okay, so this might be a little confusing, but while trying to link my Xbox account to EA it’s telling me that’s it’s already linked to a different email. But when I log in using the email it says it’s connected to, it logs me into the account I’m trying to link it to, but it’s not linked. This makes no sense to me
