No, steam support wasnt relevant as the game loaded, then said i needed ea play subscription on my ea account, which was logged in to per the acount name showing in the bottom left.
I went through 3 different support chats, before giving up, then doing some uninstalling and reinstalling after the trial had ended, to get access. Support were near useless, however what I can tell you, so you can pass this on if someone brings up similiar is this:
While you have an active trial, if you purchase the game the game will still tell you its a trial, when loading the game it will redirect itself to the trial.exe regardless, and if loaded through steam it will be unloadable.
If you have the ability to actually try and get bugs fixed- This is likely due to the denuvo token, and that it finds the trial token even after game purchase, and so doesnt generate a new token until the trial has ended, and the trial token has been deleted.
It would of been very nice if a single person of the 4 or 5 i spoke to in support, could have just told me that, so i didnt have to worry about losing access to a game i bought before i could properly play it, especially seeing how from brief googling it appears this bug has been apparent for a couple of years minimum, and my assumption is that its been a bug since denuvo changed how it worked around tokens (for reasons i presume i cant say because forum tos)
