Escalation of Ban Appeal
Hi everyone,
I’m posting here after going through the standard Terms of Service appeal process for an account ban for Apex Legends, which unfortunately resulted in a denial without much detail. I’m hoping to get additional visibility on my situation because there are several indicators that my account was compromised.
My account was banned following two strikes that were both issued to my account on a PC platform both times — I do not own or use a PC, just a MacBook that I use for school and work, which is what initially raised concern for me.
I am a new father, so this last year my time playing the game has gone down considerably, but I only ever played Apex Legends and Star Wars Battlefront.
After looking into my account further, I found:
- Several saved devices that I do not recognize (all since deleted, except for my Xbox)
- My account region had been changed to Burundi without my knowledge
- Two appeals had already been submitted on my account that I did not write or authorize
Based on this, I know there was unauthorized access to my account and that the actions leading to the ban were not mine. No incidents have occurred when I was logged in on my Xbox according to what I can see.
I completely understand and respect EA’s policies around enforcement, and I am grateful they are making an effort to keep the community fair and equitable, but I’m asking for a secondary review of my case from a security standpoint, given the clear signs of account compromise.
If an EA moderator or staff member could help escalate this for a deeper review, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m more than willing to provide any additional information needed to verify ownership and secure the account.
If anyone knows how I can reach EA past the appeal process, please let me know.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Hi there. I'm sorry to say, we're not able to help with account bans over the EA Forums. The best I can advise is submitting another dispute. Instructions for that can be found here. Thanks!
