I have to unlink my Steam account

I accidiently linked wrong account and now I cant unlink it until 12.19.2025 but I have to change it to play games on steam
account linking

Can I double-check I understand what's happening? Are you trying to unlink one Steam account in order to link a new Steam account to the same EA account?

      Gotcha, thanks for confirming that. It really helps me make sure I can share specific advice to help you with this. 😄

      Here's what you need to know:

      • ✔️ You can unlink your Steam account BUT...
      • ❌ You CAN'T link a new Steam account in its place

       

      EA accounts can only have one Steam linked up in their lifetime. 

      When you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games. - EA Help: 'Unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account'

      Depending on your goal, you may have other options besides unlinking available. Could you please share a bit more? For example, are you looking to unlink the old Steam account because it was compromised and you want to start fresh?

        My currently linked account is my old Steam account. I created a new Steam account about a year ago, and I’ve been using that one since. I accidentally linked my old Steam account to my EA account, so I need help with this.
