I've can't get an old account unlinked

I have no access to my old email at all, it was compromised in a data breach and I can't access it.  I have made help request after help request over the past week and a half with ea.  They never contact me and keep marking my case as resolved.  Is there any way to actually contact a real person that can help me or am I SOL?  And why do they treat their customers with such indifference?
