Lets talk how EA refuses to help anyone!

EA Help is a joke. All they do is make you wait, then tell you to post on the forums. There seems to be no real way to get support for actual issues. worst customer service i have ever received. 

I took a long break from Apex Legends, over two years. I came back about six weeks ago and received the Comeback Pass since I had missed more than two seasons. I found it fun and was making progress through the challenges. As an average player, I often get placed in the hardest lobbies, so the Comeback Pass gave me something enjoyable to work on in matches that are otherwise frustrating. That is a another issue, it puts me in pred lobbies over and over, that player distribution chart, i am pinned to the right side every round. I am an average player and never played rank besides a couple matches till this season. That helped, people are more on my level in ranked but matches take a long time to load players. 

I contacted EA Help once about an issue and the case status said it was waiting for a player response. When I clicked to resume the case, I ended up in chat support. After a 46-minute wait, a rep joined the chat. I explained the issue, and they didn’t know what the Comeback Pass was. They thought I meant the Battle Pass. There were long delays between their replies, like 5 to 10 minutes each. I responded two minutes after their message, explained what the Comeback Pass was, and just as I hit enter, they ended the chat. I had only four minutes to respond.

I got back in line and eventually spoke to another rep. Again, I had to explain what the Comeback Pass was. They claimed to be a player and said they knew what I meant, but clearly didn’t. It makes no sense that someone on the Apex Legends support team wouldn’t know what the Comeback Pass is.

Now in that 2nd chat I received a message from EA warning me that if I’m trying to cheat them out of Apex Coins or a Battle Pass, my account could be suspended or banned. That’s completely out of line. The Comeback Pass is free content provided to returning players who’ve missed two or more seasons. I never asked for anything that costs money. I had already made it about halfway through the challenges when one day it just disappeared. I was playing the night before and planned to get one more game in before work the next morning, and it was just gone.



EA help will not help!!!

    Hey incredible26069​,

    Sorry to hear you've not had the greatest time with support, especially when you were just trying to get a very specific issue fixed. Unfortunately, it sounds like the advisors you spoke with weren't fully up to speed on Apex. We'll regularly pass that feedback back to their team when the results of those chats end up here on the forums, but you're also welcome to provide that feedback through your case history page.

    Regarding the message you've mentioned in the second chat, this is a standard disclaimer they're required to provide in any situation involving missing content. It's certainly not intended as a threat, but more of a heads up to those (primarily in other titles) that would often contact support purely to try and get free items. Again, not relevant to your situation specifically, but this was more due to the standard missing content aspect than any particular thought you were trying to get coins or a Battle Pass out of the Comeback Pass issue. Apologies that it has come across otherwise.

    Back to the actual situation with the Comeback Pass itself, the advisors would generally be able to help with account related issues or purchases, and are typically not able to assist with bugs. Bugs would need to be investigated and confirmed by the game team and generally speaking, fixed from that end as well. We're currently unable to grant Comeback Passes on an individual basis I'm afraid.

    What we can do is pass along the information from your case(s) and posts to help figure out what may have caused it to disappear in the first place and track/fix that going forward. I've passed this along just to make sure we've captured those details, in addition to whatever the advisors may have sent up from their end.

    I understand that doesn't do much to get you the pass back at the moment, but hopefully this helps clarify things a bit more. If nothing else, thank you for the extra information and letting us know what happened so we can investigate further.

    That is of no help at all. If i click on case it shows resume or close and if i click resume it just brings me to help page that is titled as linking twitch account and i dont have a twitch account or need to link one or care about twitch at all. Game is bugged and so are the cases. 

    Its obviously a sync issue, it happened after a small update and then was gone. It most likely got messed up from that update and made when it resynced it probably registered me as not a comeback player. There are plenty of people talking about this issue and not a single fix but I had AI do a deep research on this and it mentioned devs talking about the issue being a sync issue but no one will attempt to fix. There have been a couple people that got it back by putting on a skin from the pass and leaving the game and restart so that it has to sync. But that fix did not work for me since i did not get far enough to get a skin. 

    EA help i have been in chat with them 5 times recently, due to the game not working and they never threatened my account before like that and the way they said it was like a threat.  I was not asking for anything that is not part of the game itself.  I had an issue before with Apex packs, special packs not containing the guaranteed items and EA help was able to see the items and confirm they were not part of the pack. No one did a thing to help besides let me know that i was correct.  EA help is horrible and no shortage of people complaining that EA help does not help. They take up so much of your time and always tell you to go to forum or twitter for help.  That does not do EA or the player any favors. The way they say stuff too. Before these two chats in a row i had another two chats, i only opened a new one because the case said waiting on player but when i click resume case it brings me to a page that is help for linking a twitch account. 

    I highly doubt the reps did anything on their end. They write in way that is rude and they give no assurance you will get any help, they dont sat they a team will work on it. I get a follow up email asking me if i need more help but i respond to it and it send me the message back telling me that the mailbox is full and cannot accept new messages. I have the transcripts saved, they litterally said best way to get help is post to the bug for and just maybe you will a get a response with a fix. Then the 1st rep said the same thing but was like it is unlikely someone will respond but best to post to forum. Al they give is doubt and far from polite and if they are just going to lie, then give the players some encouragement. "Just Maybe you will get a response fix" " Unlikely to respond"!!! Replies like this after a long chat are a real punch in the face to the player. 
    WHO CAN HELP?????? HOW CAN I GET HELP WITH THIS?????

    That would be through a bug report, which we pass along to the game team. From there, they'll try to reproduce the issue with the information provided, see what may have caused it, and work to create a fix for that situation moving forward. You don't need to make an additional post in this case; the information regarding your Comeback Pass has been sent up to the relevant team.

    Unfortunately, this is not a situation where simply posting somewhere will find the right person to "fix" this immediately. We are not able to grant a Comeback Pass to an account. I understand that's what you're looking for, but what we're able to do in this case is capture the bug report and pass that along for investigation.

    Thanks for the additional details about a potential sync issue. It sounds like they may already be aware from what you've mentioned, but I'm happy to pass that along to make sure the team has as much info as possible as they look into the situation.

    I did that before i even reached out but no one replied to my bug report still to this date. That was not great to hear but still 1000x better than what the reps said, they could have said that and i would have known it would be looked it. Unless your just giving me the run around too and forgive me for saying that, i have had 4hours of help and got none so my hope is null at the moment and a bit ticked off. They told me to post in the forum and maybe someone will reply and other told me to go to twitter. All they needed to say was what you said. Post in the bug forum and a team will look at it. No one every said anyone would even look at it. Not even a single mention of possible help. But instead comments like "Just Maybe you will get a response" . 

    If they are aware they are not doing a thing, tons of posts since last season but that is dev 101, simple issue and most likely. BS to that they cant recover it, the progress saves and loads in next time i go on, well did till it was gone. So that data should be on an old save and is most likely saved in the same way a battle pass is. Not like they would write up code to save it another way. Be a waste of Meta-Data!! 

    But push comes to shove, EA help was completely useless, rude, did not know what a comeback pass was and threatened to take my account if i am lying, took a lot of my time, gave me no assurance it was even going to get looked at and that does not do EA any favors either. Long wait times to get into chat but if they just make it simple, be straightforward and mention what you said the conversations be short and you wont have mad players. But instead they leave us with doubt. Fingers crossed someone looks at it but still lost all my progress.
