Link account to an Xbox account that is linked to a disabled EA account?

I lost my password ages ago. I tried to get it reset but I was asked for my IP address (I had moved several times since I used it last), the last thing I bought (who in the word remembers that?) and some other obscure information that I couldn't provide. I have not been able to any way to open a ticket to escalate. Is this just a lost cause? I would like to play video games
