Sims account deleted due to inactivity - Chat support refused

Hello,

I am desperately trying to recover my old EA account where I have my purchased The Sims games. The account was marked as Expired and Deleted due to long-term inactivity. Unfortunately, I do not remember the email address associated with it, as it is very old.

I have the original physical game boxes with the legal product keys (CD keys) right next to me. I also remember my old password.

I contacted the Live Chat support twice, but both agents refused to verify my ownership using the physical CD key, stating they cannot do it without the email. I legally bought these games and I have the physical proof of purchase in my hands.

Could a Community Manager please help me escalate this to a specialist team who can look up the account via my physical CD key and help me change the email? I am more than happy to provide photos of the boxes with today's date and my username as proof.

Thank you so much for your help.

    Hey VeruneK42007,

This might not be the response you were hoping for, but I'm sorry to say that we aren't able to support or escalate account-related requests here on the forums, as we don't have access to account information or the necessary tools to do so.

If the advisors you've connected with mentioned that having the CD key alone isn't enough to verify your account ownership, I'm afraid you'll need to do your best to locate that email address and continue working with our live support team to recover the account.

It might be worth trying to recall any other accounts you created around the same time and checking the email address you used then. From there, you can try connecting with the email provider to regain access before circling back to live support to recover the account.

UPDATE: I just tried the live chat again and the agent found the account! However, they told me that "due to the nature of my email address" (it is an old domestic email domain), they cannot help me recover it and told me to just create a new account.

For reference, the Case ID of this live chat conversation is: 257766662

This is unfair. I have the original physical box and CD key right here. The issue is clearly on EA's side because your system cannot handle or verify old email domains anymore.

Since I am the rightful owner and the chat agent confirmed the account exists but is blocked by a domain issue, could a Community Manager please escalate this to a higher specialist team? They need to manually transfer my game license from this broken/old email account to my new, working EA account. I can provide the physical CD key as proof. Thank you.

    Hey VeruneK42007,

Glad to hear support was able to locate the original account! Again, sadly, we aren't able to help you directly here on the forums, as we don't have access to account information or the necessary tools, and therefore can't escalate this for you.

However, feel free to continue connecting with live support to discuss whether it would be possible to merge your accounts or if there are any alternatives so you can access your purchased content.
