Unable to unlink account on a used Series S

I bought an Xbox Series S off of Facebook, but now i can't play Battlefield because the old account is linked. I have opened multiple cases, and i cant believe why it is so difficult to change an ema...

I will try that and let you know if that works. I thought that no matter what, an EA account will always be linked to that xbox. Is that true?

If you follow the guide, it should essentially reset the console to a “like new” state. The EA account the console links to depends on which platform account is connected to it.

You need an EA Account to play Battlefield 6, as your game progress is stored through your EA Account.

    I did this last night and it did not work. Is there another way to chat with someone outside of the live chat? I have opened multiple tickets and gotten no where. I have heard there is a way to remove the account that is linked, but that account will have a 6 month ban. If that policy is still available, I would like to do that so I can add my own account

    I'm praying that you find a solution. I'm in a similar situation, and the live chat agents are pretty much useless.

    I have played EA games for years and i have never had to jump through these many hoops just to play a game I own. Wish you the best as well!

    Sorry to hear this unfortunate news.

    Removing a linked account can only be done by the owner of the EA account it’s connected to, which is why the advisors have been unable to assist further in this case. You may need to contact the account owner directly.

    Alternatively, you could try ignoring that account and adding your own instead. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, go to Profile & system > Add or switch > Add new. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the sign-in info for your own account.
