Unable to upgrade game because old account uses now deleted email :(

It's been impossible to get any additional help with this so appreciate any feedback.

I bought Sims 3 almost 10 years ago. I used Origin to download it. I haven't played it since maybe 2019/2020? Today I remembered I have it and thought it would be fun to play for a little. I tried logging into the account but it's with an email that I have since deleted. This means there is ZERO way for me to access that email. I deleted that email maybe 2 years ago...

Anyway, I was told I can still play the game since I have all the game files on my computer still. So I tried to play it, but it's not the right version for a newer Mac (32-bit v 64-bit issue). So I go to figure out how to update the game but it seems the only way to do so is through the old account.

I even created a new EA account and look through the code/files of the game to get the product key to try to add it to my new account. But of course it's "already claimed" because I bought it 10 years ago lol. So that doesn't work either.

Support chat ended before I was able to finish asking additional questions and now I can't find any links to open a new chat. I just want to play the game I purchased already because it has saved files of sims I created that I'd like to access again :(

I have had this issue happen in the past after deleting my email, in regards to accessing an account, and every other place allowed me to update my email so I could access the account still. EA seems to be saying there is no way for them to help me update my old account which I think is bullsh*t. Does anyone know any way to resolve this?

I don’t think there’s a way to recover it unless you change the email address associated with the account—if that’s even possible. Alternatively, you might be able to recover it through a phone number, if one is linked to the account. Otherwise, I don’t see a way to recover it. If possible, try reactivating the deleted email. Or, if you have an account linked to it (like PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam), you can use one of those. That’s actually how I sign into my EA account. If all fails Sims 3 is literally $19.99 on Steam I don't think it would hurt to spend $20

Yah true about just buying it again. At this point with all the time spent so far trying to get it back, another $20 doesn't sound so bad lol. I have all the save files from my first game anyway, maybe copying them over into the new game would work even. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
