I've been having the same issue with my original EA account for 7 years now and still haven't had any help from EA to solve the issue. Literally just need the email updated to my current one that I have access to so I can change my password.
This saved my @ss!!! EA is so frustrating, I would not have found a solution without this link, You are a life saver!!
