Xbox account recognises EA account but not the other way around.

Little confusing to try and wrap your head around but ill try my best.

My xbox account recognises my ONLY EA account as on my xbox app, it has my EA games that i have installed and in my library in my EA account. It also therefore says that my xbox account is linked to my EA account as it should be. However when i then go onto THAT SPECIFIC  EA account, it says it is not linked to my ONLY XBOX account and that i cannot link it because my xbox account is already linked with an account. 

TLDR: My xbox and ea accounts are linked but don't recognise each other as a linked account. They're distant cousins refusing to believe they're related because they grew up 6 hours apart from one another.

    Now this is a problem as i want to play plenty of EA Games on XBOX game pass but i cannot download them because eventhough they are on the XBOX app it requires me to then go to the EA app..? for some reason, not sure why that is but it means i now cannot download any EA Games on xbox, i also cannot unlink and link them again because when i try to unlink my xbox account, it takes me to my ea account that 'isn't linked' EVEN THOUGH IT IS LINKED BECAUSE XBOX BROUGHT ME HERE BECAUSE THEYRE LINKED
