‎Games runs poorly on my laptop that has above the requirement graphics card.‎

I have a NVIDIA 1060 on my laptop and the games gives me literal 1 frames per second. Both on the title menu and in-game.

I tried using the NVIDIA control panel to force the exe to use NVIDIA graphics card instead of the integrated intel card. No luck.

I tried reinstalling, validating game files, no luck.

Changing the graphics settings had no impact on the performance at all.

I'm on PC, Steam, tried both the trial version(play with friend version) and the full version. Both had the same problem.

Hi @tSeraphimt apologies ITT = It Takes Two,

Can you try going through the following to see if you notice any changes?

    1. Run the System File Checker tool, then check for Windows and GPU updates
    2. Repair (Origin) / Verify (Steam) It Takes Two
    3. Disable Origin in-game overlay and any other running overlay
    4. After the above try changing in-game settings to see if anything changes

If you continue to see issues, try putting your device in Clean Boot and only launch ITT to see if performance issues continues.

    Thanks!

@tSeraphimt Do you have anything else running when you try to play? Do you have any security software on the device, to allow Steam and ITT through?
  • I didn't have any other software running other than Steam, Origin, the game and Discord.

I don't have any security software on my device other than the default Windows Firewall. I don't know what ITT is.

  • Took the steps you suggested. After clean boot, the problem persists. Still gets 1-5 FPS from the main menu into the game.
