Understandable that this is frustrating.
Even when you linked it to your son's account both accounts need to have a unique account linked to their EA account to play the game.
Meaning you will need to create another ea account even if this was not the case.

My EA account is apparently linked with a Steam account that I do not recognize - it's not me. I've unlinked it now.
You're saying that I need to create a new EA account and start fresh?
Ridiculous.
- 4 years ago@TheEvilRabbit64 same thing happened to me, customers services weren't even able to find my normal steam account even though I gave them all the details they asked for they said it didn't exist. Get a refund on your game purchase and don't use origin anymore, that's what I'm going to do.

@Zeelmaekersit sure is a frustrating situation, and makes literally no sense whatsoever... EA really must revel in making life difficult for their customers...
