    Understandable that this is frustrating.
    Even when you linked it to your son's account both accounts need to have a unique account linked to their EA account to play the game.
    Meaning you will need to create another ea account even if this was not the case.

I was able to finally get a fake steam account removed from my EA account and link the correct one. They CAN do it, but it took 45 mins with a chat person.
